Take your roasting skills to the next level with the Giesen Roasting Course – Intermediate. This hands-on training is designed for roasters who want to gain real confidence in consistently roasting coffee according to a profile. We start at the beginning with a brief introduction, so whether you are inexperienced or you already understand the basics, you can join!
During this course, you will work intensively with a Giesen roaster and the Giesen Profiler. You will roast coffee based on a target profile, cup and evaluate the results, adjust the profile, and roast again. This practical loop allows you to truly understand how profile changes affect flavour and how to steer your roasts toward the desired taste.
What you will learn
- Roast coffee based on a predefined profile
- Use the Giesen Profiler effectively
- Cup and evaluate roasted coffees
- Translate sensory feedback into profile adjustments
- Understand how different profiles influence flavour
- Gain deeper insight into green coffee.
- Learn essential roaster operation and maintenance
