The Giesen Advanced Roasting Program is not a beginner course. It is designed for professionals who already roast well and want to roast at the level of a world champion.

Three days. One machine, understood completely. Giesen professionals, together with 2025 World Coffee Roasting Champion Mikaël Portannier, will host the program and share their expertise, insights and experience.

Subjects and schedule

1. Understanding the machine
   Heat transfer, airflow, drum, burner and batch dynamics. This is followed by a practical session using intentionally extreme settings, as well as preventive care with Giesen service engineers.
2. Data and sensory intelligence
   Analysis, comparison and repeatability with a Giesen professional and 2025 World Coffee Roasting Champion Mikaël Portannier. Every roast becomes a decision you can understand and repeat.
3. Advanced roasting workshop
   Your chance to bring real-world challenges: profiles, difficult coffees and production issues. We solve them together, live, as case studies. You leave with answers, not just theory.
